The four day STERIS SYSTEM 1 Processor
training is designed to provide technical training
in maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of the SYSTEM
1 Processor. Participants should have a basic understanding
of the binary number system and a comprehensive background
working with microprocessor controlled electromechanical
devices.
A participant in the Biomedical Training Program will
be able to:
- Recognize the effects of site installation on Processor
performance.
- Understand the operation of STERIS SYSTEM 1 in
the sterilization and diagnostic cycles.
- Analyze and isolate malfunctions using a hand held
terminal, troubleshooting programs, and the Biomedical
Service Manual.
- Perform calibration, repairs, and preventive maintenance
in accordance with STERIS's recommended procedures.
Prerequisites: Participants should have a basic understanding
of the binary number system and comprehensive background
working with microprocessor controlled electromechanical
devices.
Eligibility: The Biomedical Training Program is open to Technicians
or Engineers of facilities that have owned a SYSTEM
1 Processor for ten months or more.
